Frequently asked questions

Provide us with some basic information below and we'll let you know if you qualify and next steps

How do I qualify for the advance?

RentPeek takes into account your credit score, required deposit amount, and apartment location when considering your eligibility.

Do I need a good credit score to be approved?

Credit score is only one piece of the approval process. We also take into account your prior rental history (if you provide) when evaluating a request.

How long does it take to get the advance?

Once you are approved for the advance, RentPeek will wire you the money within 2-4 business days. RentPeek can also send the money directly to your new landlord if requested.

How does RentPeek protect my information?

RentPeek partners with Plaid to connect to your bank account. Plaid is a trusted financial institution with over 11,000 connected banks and credit unions. Both RentPeek and Plaid use industry best practice for securing, anonymizing and protecting your data.

Is there a maximum amount for the advance?

The amount for the advance is capped at 1.5 times the amount of your previous security deposit. For example, if your last security deposit was $1,000, the cap on the advance would be $1,500.

Are there any fees associated with the loan?

The exact terms of the advance will vary for each customer. RentPeek will charge a small transaction fee and an interest rate not to exceed 25% APR.
